At the Beverly Hills Wellness Center we believe that health is more than the absence of disease, it is the presence of well-being. Our goal is to provide people with the knowledge and resources they need to maintain their own personal best health and independence. We offer healthful lifestyle choices, and help them to understand and use traditional and alternative health care resources appropriately.

Acupuncture and Colon Hydrotherapy are two of the primary modalities present at the Beverly Hills Wellness Center. Oriental and Chinese herbal medicine is available.

Using immune building as a Primary defense against the everyday exposure to disease and life treating conditions from our environment is primary in our doctrines. We utilize Transfer Factor and other Natural and Organic supplements in our fight against Disease and aging.

Our Staff consist of highly trained and educated practitioners. The Physicians and Health Care providers are Board Certified and maintain on going continuing medical education programs. The Medical Director of the Beverly Hills Wellness Center held staff privileges at all of the major hospitals in the Los Angeles area for many years.

The Wellness Center offers many different health screenings and suggestions. Our goal is to promote early detection of health problems and to assist people in monitoring their own health. Screenings include blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, vision, hearing, cancer, fall risk and body fat.

Edgar A. Guess Jr., M.D., FACOG, Medical Director of the Wellness Center, is an Oklahoma native. Dr. Guess completed his postgraduate work at Harvard Medical College and Meadowbrook/Stoney Brook, Long Island N.Y. Now retired from OB-GYN and GYN Oncology, Dr. Guess is an Alumnus of and holds a Clinical Associate Professorship at USC. He sits on University Boards and advisory committees. Dr. Guess is currently the Vice President of the National Board of Colon Hydrotherapy. His hobbies include swimming, scuba diving and bicycling.
